Order Management

Once an order is placed, we are unable to make changes to the order. However, if you need to update your shipping address, contact information, or order contents please contact our customer service team immediately after placing your order.

You can cancel your order online if the order has not been fulfilled. Typically, you will know if your order is fulfilled if you receive a tracking confirmation email for the order. If you are unable to cancel your order online, please contact customer service as soon as possible so we can cancel for you.

Once your order has been placed and processed, you will receive a confirmation email with your order details. This email will include a tracking number and a link to the tracking page.

Tracking information may not be immediately available after your order is placed. It can take up to 24 hours for the number to become active in our system. If you don't see any updates right away, please be patient and check back later.

Returns & Refunds

For products purchased from evanhealy, if you’re unhappy with a product purchased from evanhealy.com you may return it for a full refund within 45 days. To receive a refund contact [email protected] for a ‘Return Authorization’.

Upon receipt of your return, a credit will be issued within 30 days. Original shipping charges are refunded if the return is a result of our error.

Whether you’re purchasing our travel-sized Ritual boxes for $29.99 or one of our full-sized item Rituals, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges of individual items.

The items in the rituals are not sold separately. The package has been discounted significantly to offer an affordable means for you to enjoy many different items. It’s a package deal. That means you can return the whole kit/ritual with any number of items sampled but not used completely.

Unfortunately we are unable to provide a refund or exchange for one or more items alone. Once you’ve experimented with a Ritual and if you found it unsatisfactory and returned it for a credit, we are unable to accept a second return of the same sample-sized ritual (box).

If you purchase 2 or more units of the same item, try one before opening the other units. If you are dissatisfied with the unit that you first open, then we will provide a credit for that item and the additional unopened units. However, if you open additional units of the same item that you already found unsatisfactory, we are unable to credit you for those items. Those items will be credited upon receipt if found to be in an unopened, unused condition in their original packaging in good condition.

Once your return has been received and processed, you will be notified via email when the refund has been issued. Please allow 5-7 business days to see the refund to reflect in your account. 

All sales are final on product samples and specially priced items from our overstock collection.

How to Use

  • Moisten face with splashes of warm water or misting of hydrosol.
  • Pump a small amount of cleanser into palm of hand.
  • Dribble a little water or hydrosol to mix.
  • Massage into face & neck working in a circular motion.
  • Rinse with warm water & pat dry.

Optional for Tea Tree Gel Cleanser: Add clay to cleansing gel for a detoxifying boost. In palm of hand, add a half teaspoon of clay to cleanser with dribbles of warm water & combine. This mild exfoliation revitalizes the appearance of the skin & cleanses pores revealing a clearer complexion. 

Always use evanhealy Oil Serum and Facial Tonic HydroSoul together. Here’s how:

  • Mist face with 5-10 sprays of hydrosol.
  • In palms of hands, mix dime-sized amount of oil serum with 5-10 more sprays of hydrosol.
  • Gently press mixture onto skin evenly distributing between cheeks, forehead & chin.
  • Finish with a misting of hydrosol.
  • For drier skin, follow with one of our occlusive moisturizers.

Many find the rich combination of our nourishing Oil Serums layered with a hydrating plant HydroSoul serves very well as a daily moisturizer.

Mist face with 5-10 sprays of hydrosol & press onto skin. Facial tonic hydrosols can be used throughout the day to tone, hydrate & refresh.

As a gentle morning cleanser, simply saturate skin & pat dry with a clean cloth.

For optimal hydration & moisture, combine with one of our oil serums and/or moisturizers.

Moisturizer can be used alone or combined with an oil serum. 

  • Take a finger-full of moisturizer & massage onto clean & toned skin evenly distributing between cheeks, forehead & chin.
  • Finish with a misting of hydrosol.

Whipped Shea Butter and Balms can be used as primary moisturizer or as final occlusive layer after applying oil serum & hydrosol.

  • Warm & soften a finger-full of shea butter with 5-10 sprays of hydrosol in palms of hands.
  • Massage into the skin evenly distributing between cheeks, forehead, chin & any area on the body in need of moisture.
  • Finish with a misting of hydrosol.

Whipped Shea Butter also be used as a facial moisture mask to support the driest, most irritated skin. For details, read our Shea Butter Masking blog.

In a small bowl, add a teaspoon of clay with a dribble of water or hydrosol. With a brush or fingertips, mix until creamy & apply all over skin. Allow to dry 10-15 minutes before rinsing thoroughly. Can also be used in small areas to target blemishes.

A mask is invigorating & may stimulate redness in the area applied. However, it is not harmful. After removing clay, mist with hydrosol & follow with an oil serum or moisturizer to calm & soothe the skin.

Optional: Adding 1-2 pumps of any of our serums & oils to clay mask mixture provides an emollient botanical boost & extends clays activation & exfoliation period.

Smooth 1-3 pumps of body oil onto skin after shower or hydrosol misting. Can be used on body & face, or add 1-2 ounces directly to bath water for a fragrant, soothing, hydrating body soak.

Our body oil can also be used as an oil cleanser:

  • Massage quarter-sized amount of oil into dry skin for at least 30 seconds, focusing on areas of congestion, and/or dryness.
  • Drape a warm, damp washcloth over your skin, pressing against the forehead, cheeks & chin. Gently wipe away the residual oil in outward sweeping motions until skin feels clean & supple.

Take two finger-fulls of butter & massage onto skin still damp after shower or hydrosol misting. Can be used on body & face.

Can also be used as a facial moisture mask to support the driest, most irritated skin. For details, read our Shea Butter Masking blog.

Apply to pulse points at wrists & neck. Additionally, a small amount can be traced along collar bones, or even swirled through hair to carry an alluring whisper of scent with you all through the day.

Separation is natural. Shake well before each application.

Dispense a small amount onto fingertips and apply to skin like a moisturizer. Blend well. Allow a few minutes for product to melt into the skin. May be worn alone as tinted skin care or layered on top of a moisturizer or serum.

For an ethereal dewy glow, mist skin with HydroSoul before and after application. For a satin finish, set with your favorite finishing powder.

Using an oil serum on its own will not harm your skin. The reason we encourage the use of Serum + HydroSoul is because the mixture of water and oil penetrates more deeply, and mimics the natural environment of the skin. Adding a HydroSoul significantly enhances the efficacy of the oil serum, and works in synergy with the oil to re-create the skin’s protective hydro-lipid barrier. 

It’s not necessary, but yes, our Oil Serums can be paired up. 

After cleansing, an easy tip is to layer thinnest to thickest. A simple daily routine might be cleanse, hydrosol, oil serum, and day moisturizer. If you’re incorporating Sea Algae Serum, you would generally layer it after cleansing but before moisturizing, however some people like to use it later because they find it works as a primer for sunscreen and makeup.

In short, there’s not a wrong way to layer the products. You can even add your Oil Serum, HydroSoul, Shea Butter, and Sea Algae Serum into you hand all at once, blend together and apply. Our products are very adaptable and dynamic.

Yes, in our experience, all our products are perfectly safe during pregnancy.

If you wish to be extra cautious you might refrain from using the Blemish Treatment Serum, which has a higher concentration of essential oils than our other products.

Our Whipped Shea Butter with Olive Leaf is exceptional in minimizing the appearance of stretch marks.

Product Specific

Each of our Oil Serums play an essential role in providing complete nourishment for the skin. In combination with one of our Facial Tonic HydroSouls, the skin doesn’t need anything else. Our unique ‘oil and water’ combination cleanses, tones, hydrates and protects all skin regardless of condition. And while each Serum ‘targets’ a particular skin condition, it is also true that each Serum will provide all the ‘essential basics’ that the skin requires to remain healthy and balanced.

Choosing the right Serum is not an ‘either/or’ situation. All of our Serums – regardless of your current skin condition – will leave your skin in a healthy, balanced state.

Green Tea Clay provides a deep-action cleansing mask with the antioxidant properties of certified organic and powdered matcha green tea, which leaves the skin feeling clean, light, and refreshed. It is deeper-reaching in its action, and ideal for congestion and break-out prone skin.

French Rose Clay with rhassoul, a mineral-rich clay from the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, is a gentle, exfoliating, refining and polishing treatment appropriate for all skin. It is more topical in action.

Clay masks exfoliate on their own in a very gentle, non-invasive way. Clays are negatively charged and attract positively charged particles -- things like toxins, and dead cells, etc. They are able to differentiate dead skin cells from living ones and absorb all dead skin cells, as well as drawing out any other impurities. This is a really unique type of exfoliation because many other non-abrasive exfoliants slough away both living and dead cells, as well as disrupt the protective acid mantle the skin creates for itself. By using clay mask as an exfoliator we're able to experience the benefits of exfoliation, without disrupting the epidermal layer.

Our HydroSouls are organic plant waters, also referred to as a facial tonic, and can be used as a toner. Rose water is a generic term that can refer to both a true rose hydrosol, but also to water with “rose essence” and a dispersant added to it. The difference between our Whipped Shea butters is subtle. They are all appropriate for all skin conditions, particularly skin that is dry, sensitive, troubled, irritated and over-processed.

Whipped Shea Butter with Olive Leaf contains a larger variety of herbal infusions including olive leaf, nettle, comfrey, self heal, and calendula infused in olive oil, along with vanilla-infused jojoba oil, which makes it smell like vanilla frosting. It is generally our first choice for very dry, sensitive reactive skin in need of nurturing, calming, and restoration.

Whipped Patchouli Vanilla Shea Butter contains only a couple of the herbal infusions -- calendula, olive leaf, and vanilla -- and has the addition of Evan’s aged patchouli essential oil, a cooling, grounding essential oil that has a wonderful ability to help soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Sanctuary Butter with Frankincense is a rich and creamy butter to nourish, soften, revitalize and deliver the deepest moisture. To craft this luscious facial butter, we whip our beloved Kperisi Village Shea Butter with our nutrient-dense Sanctuary Complex of oils, and the restorative and potent addition of our handcrafted frankincense resin infused jojoba oil.

Nettle Olive Leaf Cleansing Oil is formulated to remove daily grime & build-up, makeup, sunscreen, and can be used as a pre-cleanse in a double-cleanse method with one of our cleansing milks or cleansing gel.

In addition, oil cleansing can be done with our Neem Immortelle Purifying Infusion, or any of our Body Oils and Whipped Shea Butters.

We have discontinued our Coconut Cream Cleanser. 

When using truly natural ingredients, there can be a lot of variation year after year. Sometimes plants + minerals have markedly different scents or color from one season to the next. Since clay is harvested from the earth and not grown, it's not so much that it varies as a result of the seasons, but rather where exactly it is harvested - even if it's coming from the same supplier. It's completely normal and you should still experience the same results. 

Your Blue Cactus products could be changing colors for a few reasons. One is light exposure. The blue tansy is sensitive to light and prolonged exposure adds to the oxidation of that ingredient and alters its appearance. It is still safe to use. It also appears to 'fade' simply based off the volume of oil in the bottle. The less oil is in the bottle the paler blue the serum appears. To avoid oxidation, use your Blue Cactus within 6 months of opening, and store in a cool dark place. 

Our sunscreen is completely free of chemical-blocking agents, parabens, sulfates, silicone, and PEGs.

Over the past 40 years, Oregon Tilth has led the way in organic agriculture and sustainable production methods, playing a leading role in the formation of a federal USDA National Organic Program and expanding organic sustainability beyond agriculture. Our work with Oregon Tilth ensures the organic integrity of our products.

Our Wild Carrot Nourishing Eye Balm and Whipped Shea For Lips are certified organic by Quality Assurance International.

All of our products, excluding clay masks, are best used within 6 months of opening. Our clay masks products are good for 24 months after opening. If stored away from heat and light, they will maintain their freshness and vitality. We make our products fresh by hand every few weeks. Each batch is numbered and dated of when it was processed. Yes. Our argan oil is sourced from the Al Amal Women's Co-Op in southern Morocco, where it is hand-harvested, hand-cracked, and hand-pressed. You can read more about the process on our blog post about Evan’s journey to meet the women of the Al Amal Women’s Co-operative, where we source the argan oil we use in our products. 

Yes, we maintain the same quality standards for all carrier oils — unprocessed, unrefined, and cold-pressed.

We do not use artificial fragrances in any of our products. The scent of each product comes from nothing but plant ingredients, including steam-distilled, therapeutic-grade essential oils.

All of our HydroSouls are low-temperature steam distilled using Alembic Copper Stills with the exception of Frankincense. These plants are difficult to grow in large numbers in Washington, where our core distilling is done. 

Because we use whole plants, our products can vary in scent and color from batch to batch. This is simply a sign of authentic, unadulterated plant material. 

All evanhealy products are certified cruelty-free by Leaping Bunny. We never test on animals during any stage of our product development or production — only on willing and eager humans! Nearly all of our our products are vegan friendly, with the exception of products that contain sustainably sourced certified organic beeswax, such as our Wild Carrot Nourishing Eye Balm, Whipped Shea Butter for Lips, and Sanctuary Nectar Balm. Our Clay Mask Fan Brush also uses which cruelty-free boar hair. 

We package our Oil Serums and other products in clear glass rather than opaque glass for the very reason that it offers the ability to actually see the color and quality of the Oils, Hydrosols, or any of our products. Literally transparent. While opaque bottles may keep out light, they also hide the presence of bacteria in hydrosols, and hide the dullness of processed oils.

Additionally, to experience optimal results, daily use of the products is key. If you are using the product on a daily basis they will be finished well before they are impacted by light exposure.

Certifications
We are a certified Regenified facility, focusing on regenerative practices for soil health, biodiversity, carbon sequestration, and ecosystem restoration.

We do not use genetically modified ingredients (GMO) or parabens in our products. Our products do not contain gluten, except for our Lavender Argan Light Moisturizer, which contains oat. Many of our products are certified organic by Oregon Tilth and the New Mexico Department of Agriculture, and we use certified organic ingredients whenever possible.

Our products are certified cruelty-free by Leaping Bunny and are not tested on animals. Most products are vegan, with a few exceptions that still must meet cruelty-free guidelines. Our lip balm and eye balm products contain certified organic beeswax, and our clay mask brush contains natural boar's hair bristles.

We work directly with family farms, tribal villages and self-governed women's cooperatives from all over the world, and through these relationships we maintain a profound connection to the land our ingredients come from.

Packaging
We use eco-friendly packaging from start to finish. This includes components like plant-based dyes, post-consumer plastic, and compostable packing material. All of our products come in curbside-recyclable glass except for our sunscreen, which comes in a biodegradable sugarcane derived bottle.

Ingredients

All of our products are gluten free with the exception of Lavender Argan Light Moisturizer (Formerly: Light Moisture Replenishing Fluid) which contains oat. 

We do not use any artificial preservatives in any of our products, and many of our product formulations are self-preserving and do not require preservatives. When needed, we use a small amount of Vitamin E (Tocopherol) as a natural preservative, which comes from non-GMO soy. You will see it noted at the end of a product's ingredients list if applicable.

Like homeopathy, flower essences are extreme dilutions of plants and water and are thought to capture the vibrational imprint of a plant. As vibrational remedies, they are created to treat our vibrational selves and leave more of an emotional and energetic impact than a physical one. Yet since so much of skin health and beauty is tied into our mental and emotional states, flower essences are a wonderful and supportive tool to use in holistic skin care. 

We don't hide any ingredients - our products only contain the ingredients listed on the ingredients tab on the product page. 

No, we do not use genetically modified ingredients in any of our products. 

None of our products contain vitamin C. Vitamin C is a very volatile, water-soluble compound, which means its not found in any plant oils (lipids), simply by its nature. There are plants we use (like rosehip) that contain vitamin C in the plant itself, but that vitamin C is not carried through into the oil simply because vitamin C is not soluble. Because we value the whole plant, we have no plans on using an isolated vitamin C in any of our future products, as isolated vitamin C is missing the many invaluable co-factors that are always included alongside vitamin C in nature.

Our rosehip seed oil contains natural occurring beta carotene/vitamin A in the form of trans-retinoic acid (the precursor to retinol). We use this special oil in many of our products including our: Chilean Wild Rosehip Seed Oil, Rose Trinity Beauty Elixir, Sanctuary Nectar Serum, Pomegranate Vitality Serum, Rosehip Balancing Serum and Rosehip Calming Serum.

All of our products are vegan, with the exception of products that contain certified organic beeswax - these include our Wild Carrot Nourishing Eye Balm, Whipped Shea Butter for Lips, Sanctuary Nectar Balm, and Whipped Manuka Honey Cleansing Mask. Our Clay Mask Fan Brush is also made with natural boar's hair. All of our products are certified cruelty-free by Leaping Bunny. 

Many of our products are USDA Certified Organic by Oregon Tilth or Quality Assurance International. While looking through the product pages of our website, you can determine which items are certified organic by looking for the USDA Organic symbol located on the product image. 

Zinc oxide is a mineral and the active ingredient in our sunscreen. It sits on top of your skin, rather than soaking in like chemical sunscreens. It reflects the sun’s rays to protect you. Non-nano means that the particles are too large to pass through the skin. The concern with super-small nanoparticles is that they can find their way into your body by penetrating your skin and getting into your bloodstream. 

Our Sheer Mineral Sunscreen with Broad Spectrum SPF 30 is currently our only product containing SPF.

Skin Related

Both our Rosehip Treatment Serums (Rosehip Balancing Serum or Rosehip Calming Serum), and our Pomegranate Vitality Serum are excellent choices for skin, especially when paired with a HydroSoul. 

The answer differs for everyone. While most individuals notice immediate improvement, for some it may take 6 to 8 weeks.

What we put into our body is as important as what we put on it. If your skin takes longer than 6 - 8 weeks to improve, then we suggest consulting with a Nutritionist or Natural Practitioner to address other issues such as diet, digestion, stress and environmental factors that may be causing your skin issues.

Switching to a simple, holistic, plant-based skin care routine may result in the releasing or ‘purging’ of accumulated impurities. This process is natural and temporary. Allow your skin to release built-up synthetics, preservatives and toxins. How long this takes depends on your individual situation – your health, diet, digestion, stress and prior skin care choices. 

Nighttime is when the skin regenerates and detoxifies, and because of this it is important to be light-handed with your product application at this time. It’s important to avoid waxes, emulsifiers and more complicated formulations at night, which is why we suggest, after cleansing, to stick to a simple routine of Oil Serum and HydroSoul only. If you need a bit more moisture than Oil + HydroSoul alone provides, Whipped Shea Butter is the best choice for night care. 

Follow one of our daily treatment rituals (according to your individual skin condition) – Balancing, Calming, or Purifying. Each treatment ritual includes the basics for healthy, vibrant, toned skin: gentle cleanser, nourishing serum and hydrosol combination, moisturizer, and a deep pore-cleansing clay mask.

You may adjust or add the following to the daily treatment protocol:

Acid peels dissolve the epidermal layer and weaken the skin’s ability to defend itself. Our approach to skin health is one of longevity. This means we only work with ingredients that support the long-term health of the skin, rather than simply focusing on instant-gratification as acids and other aggressive exfoliation techniques do.

Our first choice for exfoliation is Clay. Clay is a healthy alternative to exfoliating the skin with acids. Clay maintains and respects the integrity of the skin by not disrupting the skin's hydro-lipid barrier. It purifies, minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and reduces excess oil – all while leaving the skin softer, smoother, and ultimately healthier. Choose either French Rose Clay or Green Tea Clay.

Why a product may be out of stock:
We mix and pour our products in small batches using plants that are harvested at their peak. This ensures that every product we ship is made of the freshest, highest quality ingredients it can be to offer the most benefits to your skin. If a product is out-of-stock, it is most likely due to the waiting season for a particular ingredient or the ingredient may currently be in route to our facility.

When a product will be back in stock:
We cannot usually specify when a product will be back in stock, but restock notices can be subscribed to on the product page via the "Notify Me When Available" button. You will be notified by email as soon as it comes back-in-stock.
